Help take Kritika's body to Nepal
Late Kritika SinghDear All,

Please read the following sad and most unfortunate news. 21 years old Kritika Singh met a premature death while driving in 66 West on the night of November 19, 2008. Her body is at the Inova Hospital at the moment and will be taken to the funeral home when her kin arrives from out of state tomorrow. The saddened family are requesting the body to be sent to Nepal. We are in communication with the University personnel for other logistics and sending the body to Nepal.  We urgently need some cash for sending her body back home. The association of Nepalese in the Americas (ANA) has pledge in its support and is currently working with the other students at VIU. We encourage and request all the local organizations and individuals to come forward and extend their helping hand at this difficult time of crisis in the Nepali community.

Fundraiser for Flood Victims
Fundraiser for Flood Victims in NepalThe Association of Nepalis in America (ANA) is saddened by the devastation caused by the recent flood caused by Sapta Koshi river in South Eastern Nepal. It's always difficult to cope with national calamity, especially when it causes the loss of lives and belonging of lifetime. Imagine, one minute you have everything and the next minute you have lost it all. Although no level of support can replace what has been lost by the flood victims, we can, however, show our support and solidarity with our countrymen by showing our empathy and generosity.

Therefore, ANA appeals to all Nepalis in North America to support the flood victims by donating money and letting fellow countrymen know that North American Nepali community is ready to lend their hand to our brothers and sisters in Nepal  in time of their need. You may send your generous donations to the address below:
