Potential for Tourism Development in NepalTravel and Tourism is the vehicle to discovery, social and economic integration and the interconnection of the world. It is all known that tourism as the fastest growing industry with a high potential for the economic strength of any country. Nepal has a lot to offer in terms of tourism; however the country has continued to rely on the traditional and limited resources and markets to grow the industry. Product diversification and creation of new markets are the keys to the growth of Nepalese tourism. Recently, the government of Nepal has announced Visit Nepal year 2011 with the aim of attracting one million international visitors. This number seems pretty ambitious because during a similar campaign in 1998, Nepal hosted only 464,000 tourists, earning US$ 24.8 million in revenue. However, we all need to support Visit Nepal Year 2011campaign to strengthen a tourism in Nepal. In this scenario, what is the potential for the tourism in Nepal? How can Association of Promote Nepal as a desirable tourist destination by networking with Ministry of Tourism, ANA has also formed a committee to implement above objectives with these 1.
