Past Conventions
ANA has started a tradition of July 4th meetings where charitable, cultural, religious, and educational programs are conducted and enjoyed by all.

ANA annual meetings provide an opportunity to make new friends, to renew old friendships, and to network. Forums like the Women's, Young Professional, Technical, and Youth are platforms to discuss concerns regarding Nepalis across the globe. Over the years, these forums have become very popular, enlightening, and a learning experience for all of us. At the conventions, you can meet thousands of Nepalis, chat, dine, and enjoy songs and dances by Nepali matinee idols. ANA Annual meeting is a three day mela of fun, laughter, enjoyment, friendship and intellectual discourse.

The list below shows where all of the conventions have taken place. Click on the link to see what happened at the convention and for more details.

Help Koshi flood victims in Nepal

Fundraiser for Flood Victims in NepalThe Association of Nepalis in America (ANA) is saddened by the devastation caused by the recent flood caused by Sapta Koshi river in South Eastern Nepal. It's always difficult to cope with national calamity, especially when it causes the loss of lives and belonging of lifetime. Imagine, one minute you have everything and the next minute you have lost it all. Although no level of support can replace what has been lost by the flood victims, we can, however, show our support and solidarity with our countrymen by showing our empathy and generosity.

Therefore, ANA appeals to all Nepalis in North America to support the flood victims by donating money and letting fellow countrymen know that North American Nepali community is ready to lend their hand to our brothers and sisters in Nepal  in time of their need. You may send your generous donations to the address below:

Help Dolma Sherpa in Kuwait

Request to help Dolma SherpaDolma Sherpa, a domestic help in Kuwait has been languishing in a Kuwaiti central jail at Shamiya for the last seven months on the charge of killing a Filipino woman who worked as another domestic help at the house of Dolma's then employer. Dolma has been convicted of murder and has been given death sentence. The Government of Nepal, the Non-Resident Nepali organization and North American Coordination council (the NRN wing of North America) have been actively garnering support to save Dolma's life by raising funds for good legal counsel in Kuwait. They are also appealing the Kuwaiti government to send her back to Nepal.
There has been quite a bit of support from the Diaspora worldwide. ANA also seeks support from all our members and well wishers to help Dolma. Please contribute. The funds will be used to hire good legal support on behalf of Dolma. Please click on "Make a donation" button on the right side "Save Dolma's LIFE" to make your pledge.
